No the Same

Auld Gorgie Road is no' the same,

nae trams are birlin' past.

Ye tak' a bus te traivel hame,

folks say they're smert an' fast.

Nae doot the bus is smashin' tae,

an' gets ye there betimes,

Bit still, I thocht the ither day,

'Twis queer wi' nowt on lines.

The stops, furbye, have changed, it's true,

Ardmillan's like a fair!

Nae cheery wave frae driver noo,

He's ower harassed, fur shair.

It had tae come, an' here's a think:

A'll argy-bargy nane,

Bit maist agree, though lookin' trim.

Auld Gorgie's no' the same.
